Breathlessness Clinic


About

The Breathlessness Clinic is a new and unique service at Greenwich Hospital. It aims to empower patients to develop the necessary skills to improve their quality of life, promote self-management, reduce psychological and physical distress and avoid hospital admissions. 

What's included:

  •  Clinical assessment by a doctor and physiotherapist
  •  Weekly 2 hour group sessions over 4 weeks
  •  Exercise Program
  •  Education from Occupational Therapy, Clinical Psychologist or Palliative Care Specialist

Who will benefit

Patients with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Cancer, Pulmonary Fibrosis or other illnesses causing breathlessness.

Patients should require minimal or no assistance for mobility and must be able to actively participate in exercise and education.

How to refer

Your GP or staff specialist will need to complete the form below noting that assessment is required for The Breathlessness Program
