HammondCare Greenwich Hospital is a teaching hospital of the University of Sydney and some staff in the Pain Clinic have university appointments. Therefore education and training are an important part of what we do.
Pain Clinic staff are actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as professionals working in the field of pain management.
The Pain Clinic provides clinical training for doctors progressing toward specialty qualifications in pain and rehabilitation medicine. It also provides training for allied health staff who wish to gain further experience in treating pain.
The Pain Clinic also provides opportunities for students interested in research including obtaining postgraduate research qualifications through the University of Sydney. As can be seen on our research page, a number of research projects are underway and additional research opportunities may be available.
The Pain Clinic also provides lectures, seminars and workshops for people with chronic pain.
Anyone interested in further study or clinical training should contact the Director of the Pain Clinic, Professor Philip Siddall at firstname.lastname@example.org.
